Best Bars Barcelona

 On the other side of the city in a bar just as crowded and just as much of a hustle is Cava Bar. Cava bar has to be one of the most original bars there is. Its the best place to take a group of friends (as long as they don’t mind being squashed and most probably coming away with cava stained clothes). The cava is unbelievably cheap and they have lots of nice meats and tapas to nibble on while your throwing them back.

L’Antic Theatre is our third choice of the Best Bars Barcelona. L’Antic theatre has one of the rare beer gardens found in Barcelona. Its a really nice place to be able to escape from the hectic life of the city as in the beer garden you are completely enclosed from the outside world. You don’t get many tourists here as it is a little bit off the beaten track so this helps keep the prices down to a nice 2 euros per glass one wine!

There is also a very chilled out atmosphere that can be sometimes hard to find when you are so central in Barcelona. You just sometimes have to get here a little earlier than what is normal in Spain as when people choose a table they will sit there for the rest of the night.

 El Gato Negro is actually TWO of the best bars Barcelona has to offer. El Gato Negro in Gracia is great because it served beers for 1,20euros! Thats 4 drinks for 5 euros! An excellent place to start your night (especially if your getting the first round). It is located in the centre of Gracia which is a playground at night full of bars, cafes and all sorts of interesting things happening throughout the year and in the summer especially.

The other El Gato Negro is located in Eixample and is a shot/cocktail bar. This one is a bit more touristy but it is easy to see why. The bar men are serving over 200 different flavoured shots, are setting the whole bar on fire and showing off their cocktail making skills. A great place to take new friends if you want to impress.
