English speaking jobs in Barcelona
For those who have limited knowledge of Spanish or Catalan and are looking for a primarily English speaking role Barcelona has a few options. I would say the easiest options would be either one of two. Call Centres and bars! There are a few English magazines around Barcelona such as Metropolitan which feature alot of the call centre job adverts on there. For bar work your best bet is to go and hand your cv in person and ask if there are any vacancies coming up soon. I doubt they will keep your cv for long if there isn’t so if you don’t here from them within a few days your chances are low. The call centre jobs tend to hire in groups of 10 or more at a time so they may not contact you until the next group opening.
Remember in spain you will an NIE and Social Security number before applying for any jobs, make sure you have a spanish mobile telephone number and you include a cover letter AND photo with your cv!
A third option would be to teach english in a school around Barcelona. To qualify you will need a TEFL or CELTA certificate which most of schools will ask you to present immediately.
