Marsella Barcelona Absinthe Bar
One of Barcelona’s more famous bars, Marsella Bar is worth checking out if you haven’t already been. This Absinthe bar Barcelona has been around for around 190+ years, which is immediately obvious when you walk through the door with the dusty, old fashioned decor with cobwebs in the corners and dingy chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Maybe Marsella Bar is not one for the Absinthe connoisseurs, but it is the absinthe bar in Barcelona that you have to visit while you are there, it is rumoured that Picasso and Hemmingway used to be regulars.
Even though it is known by many as ‘The Barcelona Absinthe bar’, it is simple house Absinthe they serve here which may not be to everybody’s taste. Overall, it is a really fun place to go and have a few very, very strong drinks before heading on to other places around Raval. We recommend having two drinks maximum as it will hit you later on into the night!
